Use of mobile phone banned in Peshawar hospital in operation theaters

PESHAWAR: Medical Director of Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) imposed the ban on use of mobile phones for hospital staff in operation theaters o Thursday.

A notification was issued in this regard and according to it, there will be a complete ban on use of mobile phone in operation theatres (regular OTs/ Emergency Department OTs) and all kind of staff have to keep their mobile in the lockers.

Anyone found violating the order, their mobile will be confiscated and disciplinary action will be initiated against the person, notification added.

As per the latest research, more than 66%  surgeons using their phones in the hospitals, including in operating theatres and intensive care units.
