Vicky Kaushal to collaborate with filmmaker Aditya Dhar once again for a period drama

MUMBAI: After the super success of his last release Uri: The Surgical Strike, Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal is all set to collaborate with filmmaker Aditya Dhar once again.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Vicky Kaushal will be seen playing the role of the Mahabharata character Ashwatthama (who fought against the Pandavas in the Kurukshetra War), in the film. The film will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s production house RSVP, which also backed Uri.

The same was confirmed in a report by Mirror which said, “After Uri, the makers wanted to return with something big and interesting. Aditya has been working on this script since a long time, even before Uri released, and when he sounded out Ronnie and Vicky, they immediately jumped on board. The film will be mounted on a big scale and will be shot later this year. Aditya is already neck-deep in research and will go on a recce soon. The film will be shot all over India and the makers are targetting a mid-2020 release.”

The untitled film is expected to go on floors later this year. Talking about the film, a source further informed the daily, “The film will be mounted on a big scale and it will be shot later this year,”

We still wait for an official announcement from both Vicky Kaushal and Aditya Dhar on their association. Other than this, Vicky will be next seen in Karan Johar’s Takht which also features Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in important roles.
