MUMBAI: Saare Jahaan Se Acha or Salute is one film that has been in the news even before it has had even one day of shoot. This Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala production has gone through many ups and downs as the lead actors of the film kept changing. First Aamir Khan and then Shah Rukh Khan, both have left the film for reasons unknown.
But according to the latest reports, the producers were quick to come to another decision about the casting and have decided to get Vicky Kaushal on board. Vicky has been one of the biggest discoveries of 2018 with films like Raazi and Sanju and then finally he proved his mettle as a lead actor in 2019’s first 100 crore film, Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Reports suggest that he was one of the first names to pop up in the minds of the producers when Shah Rukh Khan left the film. Salute is based on the life of Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian astronaut to go to space and will now be going to floors in the next couple of months.
