MUMBAI: The Ishqiya girl, Vidya Balan is all set to play Indira Gandhi, the only female prime minister of India, in her upcoming movie.
The film is based on a book by author Sagarika Ghose’s Indira: India’s Most Powerful Prime Minister.
While talking to media persons in Mumbai, Vidya Balan told that she is happy to get the role of Indira Gandhi and its very challenging to portray the life of former prime minister.
Indira Gandhi is the most powerful prime minister of India and the film will explore her political battles, the reasons behind the 1975 Emergency and Gandhi’s failed marriages, and other issues.
