Vohra involved in MQM money-laundering case: Sarfaraz Merchant

KARACHI: Former member Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Sarfaraz Merchant claimed that Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra is involved in money laundering case for the MQM-London.

This he said while talking to private news channel.  Merchant is one of the close aides of party founder’s and one of the accused in the MQM-L money laundering case.

Merchant added that both the factions of the political group (MQM-P and MQM-London) advised not to go provide any evidence against the party founder. He rejected Farooq Sattar claims of disassociation were only on media and in reality funds were shifted to London after August 25, he claimed.

He further claimed that not one but several MQM-P leaders still contact the other side in London.

In a move which came as a major blow to MQM-P, Deputy Mayor Vohra switched loyalties and announced on Sunday to join the Mustafa Kamal-led Pakistan Sarzameen Party.
