Wahab takes notice of mess of boat basin food street
KARACHI: Advisor to CM Sindh on Law, Environment, Climate Change & Coastal Development Barrister Murtuza Wahab took notice of environmental degradation of food street of Boat Basin Clifton. He directed Sindh EPA to take immediate action for the improvement of environmental conditions of the referred area.
Subsequently DG SEPA Naeem Mughal called upon office bearers of the union of referred food street and asked them to prepare the environmental management plan of their area and submit the same in SEPA for approval.
He also directed them to follow an environmentally approved procedure for disposal of solid waste of food street and take measures to control air pollution as a result of barbecue activities.
He also directed them to release the wastewater of their area appropriately and strictly maintain health and hygiene standards.
In the end the office bearers of the Union Mian Mohammad Naeem President and Naeem Sajjad Secretary assured DG of their fully compliance of the environmental regulations.
