Weak judicial and prosecution system benefit outlaws: Siraj

TIMERGARA: Jamaat-i-Islami chief and senator Siraj ul Haq on Tuesday said the overall judicial and administrative system in the country favored the accused and oppressors rather the victim and the oppressed.

Addressing a party gathering at the Khazana by Pass road here the JI chief claimed no political party except the JI had any programme or will to steer the country out of the present turmoil.

Haq also inaugurated the reconstruction of the Khazana by Pass Bridge to be completed in two years with Rs 375 million. The bridge was partially washed away by flash floods in 2015 and the Pakistan army had installed a temporary steel bridge for light vehicular traffic.

The JI chief also inaugurated newly established wards at the district head quarter hospital Timergara and an ‘Aghoosh’ center under the Al-Khidmat Foundation at Gulabad Adenzai for educating and caring orphan children. He also addressed a Tahafuz e Dini Madaris conference arranged by the Jamiat Tulba Arabia at the Timergara rest house ground.

Addressing the gatherings he said the JI was the only religious and political party that had a complete workable planning for running the affairs of the state. He said that lack of ‘sharia’ implementation and weak prosecution system encouraged criminals and elites. He condemned the incidents in Qasur, DI Khan, Mardan and Upper Dir and demanded exemplary punishment for its perpetrators.

Criticizing the Pakistani rulers the JI chief said none of the successive governments did care of the poor masses. He said the 2018 general elections would be proved last nail in the coffin of corruption, bribery and looting. He said he was hopeful about the future of Pakistan.

The JI chief said the Al-Khidmat Foundation provided health care facilities to 6.3 million Pakistanis and provide one million children with free education. He said the AKF was homing 8500 orphan children across the country. He said hundreds of Dir orphans would be benefitted of the AKF Aghoosh center Gulabad. The JI chief said his party lawmakers had also developed the area. He said the Dir State once popular for darkness and backwardness had now become an area of lights, knowledge and improved communication because of the day and night services of JI lawmakers.

The JI chief also visited Lal Qila Maidan and condoled upon the death of four youth in Saudi Arabia road accident. He offered fateha for the departed souls and expressed sorrows on the sudden demise of the youth. The functions were also addressed by JI Lower Dir emir Maulana Asadullah, MNA Sahibzada Yaqub Khan, MPAs Saeed Gul, Izaz ul Mulk Afkari, district nazim Muhammad Rasool Khan and others.
