West Indies is ready to surprise New Zealand in test series: Holder

WELLINGTON: West Indies Skipper, Jason Holder has said that the morale of the team is high ahead of the New Zealand series.

He added that West Indies team is in a very good position to win the two mathc series as we starting to the series at Wellington on Friday and he are hopeful that we will win the first away against New Zealand since 1995.

Holder said that we not a finished product and we are heading in the right direction to improve our ranking and perform well in the international circuit.

This he said while talking to media persons on Thursday.

Earlier in August, the West Indies took a upset win over the England when the talented Shai Hope became the first player to score a century in each innings of a test at famous Leeds grounds which boosted the morale of the team.

Holder does not have good memories of his last visit to Wellington when the West Indies were beaten by an innings and 73 runs four years ago.

On a typical green Basin Reserve wicket, Holder won the toss and elected to bowl only to see New Zealand post 441 and then roll the West Indies for 193 and 175.
