MARDAN: A widow of a retired army personnel appealed to Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court to take Suo moto action of the killing-incident of her husband occurred at tehsil Katlang two months ago. He also asks authorities concerned to provide protection to her and her children from their influential rivals.
Talking to media-persons at Mardan press club Shereen Niba widow of Zanon Shah belonging from Kohi-Barmol locality of tehsil Katlang while narrated her ordeal said that on 28th June 2018 the accused including Baram Shah, Naveed and Parveez started firing at her husband identified as Zannon Shah over a minor issue in front of her house and firstly critically injured him.
She told journalists that her husband was laying on ground with serious bullet injures when she and her children came out of their home after hearing sound of firing. She blamed that she and her son Qasim also got injuries as a results of firing started by their opponents when they saw them out their home.
After firing over them by their rivals, she further said that the accused allegedly thrashed and tortured her husband with sticks and killed him in front of them. She claimed that she herself and their children were eye-witness of the killing-incident of her husband. She, however, said that the officials of Katlang Police Station had registered first information report (FIR) of the killing of her husband on her complaint.
She blamed, later on, with the convenience of local police, the accused allegedly resorted to firing over their own houses aimed to make a fabricated firing case against her and her other relatives. By this way, she blamed that a cross FIR in the case was also lodged against her and her brother-in-law Hidayat Shah, Zatoon Shah and Zidan Shah.
She said that her brother-in-law Zidan Shah is also serving in Pakistan army. She told media-persons, later, they got bail from local court. She added that her husband Zanon Shah was retired from Pakistan army in the rank of naik. She alleged that Baram Shah was a target killer and involved in five other murders cases. She added that her opponents were influential. She lamented that the alleged killers of her husband had gotten bail from local court and now wandering in the area. She blamed that her opponents had not only given her and her children life-threats, besides had made their lives as miserable.
The widow said that she had five children who dropped out of schools due to threats as well as poverty as the family had no other bread winner to support the family. She added that she belonged to a Syed family but she was forced to come out of her home to get justice. She said that due to fear of her opponents, she did not allow her children to come out of home. She also appealed to Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javeed Bajwa to move murder case of her husband to the military court so that they could get speedy justice. He also appealed to human-rights’ bodies to come forward for her support in the said case. She threatened that she along with her children would commit self-immolation if her demands were not taken up seriously.
