F.P. Report

LAHORE: Indian High Commissioner for Pakistan, Ajay Bisaria has said that he would try to ease the Visa process for the Pakistani traders in the better interest of the both neighboring countries.

Bisaria said this while addressing to Businessmen at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday. He said that the visa tension between India and Pakistan is a pressing issue that should be resolved.

Indian diplomat added that he would try that the maximum number of Indian visas are issued to traders and adding that the two countries could only progress if they give each other space for dialogue.

Bisaria reiterated his statement, saying he was positive that tension between the two neighboring countries would end soon.

Recently, the tension between India and Pakistan escalated after diplomats of the latter country, and their families, were harassed in New Delhi.

Before the harassment incidents came to light, Pakistani authorities had been protesting against the violation of ceasefire agreement along the Line of Control by Indian troops, which had claimed the lives of a number of innocent civilians, including children.
