LASHKARGAH: A woman was killed and another sustained injuries in Lashkargah city, capital of Helmand province. Sources said the Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers opened fire on a civilian vehicle in Popalzai Shakh area in Lashkargah city yesterday, leaving a woman dead and another injured.
It could not be ascertained as why the security forces opened fire on the vehicle, the sources said. A member of the bereaved family said the security forces immediately opened fire after asking the vehicle to stop.
