The market facility would be constructed at a cost of 5. 6 million afghanis and India would provide the amount and the structure would be completed within six months.

Nangarhar Governor Gulab Mangal, who attended the ceremony, said constructing the women’s business marker would provide a bundle of job opportunities to other women as well.

He said the market was being built in a place where women could be confident and could easily reach there.

Meanwhile, provincial urban development department head Abdul Qahar Hidari said the market building would cost 5.6 million afgahnis and would take six months to be completed.

Habiba Kakar, a member of the provincial council (PC), called the market for women as massive step.

He said: “Nangarhar women have many skills and by constructing the market, they would bring more positive changes to the society”.
