Work program against cash starts in Kabul city

KABUL (Agencies): Kabul municipality started a short-term work-for-cash program in cooperation with the World Food Programme office in 4rd police district of Kabul city.

Seyyed Mohammad Hashemi, the head of 4 police district, said that this office has provided assistance to 6500 needy citizens in the area of this district.

“Among the mentioned number, 650 of them have been assigned to clean the streets, pots and sweep the roads, and they will work three days a week and three hours a day,” he added.

The program continues for three months and 4900 Afghani is paid for these people every month.
