World asked to stop hostile stance against Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Taliban on Friday asked the world to cease its hostile stance against Afghanistan and not to create hurdles to the country’s stability, security and economic development.
It was said in a statement issued by the caretaker government of Afghanistan on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the US and allies invasion of Afghanistan.
Attributed to Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, the statement said: “On this day 21 years ago the then American government invaded Afghanistan without any valid or logical reason. Due to this cruel invasion, our oppressed and poor people were deprived of a legitimate and accepted system and they faced severe sufferings, martyrdoms, injuries and migrations”.
After 20 years, the statement said, the Afghans were able to expel foreign forces from the country and regain the freedom of their country.
“Alhamdulillah, today we mark the 21st anniversary of the American invasion in the absence of foreign occupation forces and our nation is safe and secure under the shadow of Islamic system.”
The statement reiterated the government’s stance not to allow the soil of Afghanistan to threaten anyone or to be misused against anyone.
The statement called on other countries not to take a hostile stance against Afghanistan and not to create obstacles for Afghanistan’s security, stability and economic development.
