World XI tour will open gates of international cricket in Pakistan: Imran Tahir

LAHORE: South African leg spinner, Imran Tahir has said that he is delighted to be a part of the World XI to visit Pakistan and this will surely open the doors of international cricket in Pakistan.

Tahir said this while talking to media persons at Qaddafi stadium Lahore. He said that the basic aim of World XI tour to Pakistan is to bringing smile on Pakistanis face and also play our role in bringing back the cricket to Pakistan.

Imran Khan who is originally belongs to Pakistan, said that it was my wish to play on my home ground and in front of family members which will be fulfilled in this World XI tour to Pakistan.

Throwing light on the composition of World XI, he said the touring side is a combination of the world’s best talented players and this series is of greater importance for them to see the resumption of international cricket in Pakistan.

Tahir added that Sarfraz Ahmad, all-rounder Shoaib Malik and Fakhar Zaman are the best players of the Pakistan team.
