World’s conscious

UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi has said that over 70 percent of the world’s refugees and displaced people come from the most climate-vulnerable countries including Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria, and Yemen. According to her, these countries have an enormous stake in discussions about the climate crisis, but they are too often excluded.

Currently, Climate change has become one of the greatest risks to all living organisms including man kind and resource-deficient states are the biggest victims of natural disasters. Various countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America are facing the disastrous affects of global warming, while the UN agencies and International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) continuously sensitizing the world about the risks of the worsening calamity however sane words are not convincing powerful nations to contribute this global endeavor wholeheartedly. The rich natons only intend steel the show through mere announcements of humanitarian assistance instead of paying price for their misdeed. In fact, the preveilaged nations must not hesitate in investing climate related projects in disadvantaged nations in Asia and Africa, so this common threat could be averted through collective wisdom, resources and combined efforts.
