Writ files before PHC against strike call of DC, Tehsildar association

PESHAWAR: Two separate writ petitions filed before Peshawar High Court seeking to stop Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) Association and Provincial Management Services (PMS) Association along with Tehsildar Association from strike to boycott from delivery of services.
Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) and District Bar Association Peshawar filed two separate writ petitions at PHC while Babar Khan Yousafzai Advocate representing earlier and Tariq Afridi Advocate on behalf of the later petitioner will argue the case before court.
In the writ Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Deputy Commissioner Chitral, PAS Association general secretary, Tehsildar Association president, PMS Association general secretary and General Secretary Tehsildar Association has been made respondents in the case.
The writ petition seeking to declare impugned press release issued by Deputy Commissioner Chitral and General Secretary Tehsildar Association as illegal, without lawful authority, ultra wires and of no legal effect.
The writ petition further stating that to direct Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to proceed against the respondents under the provisions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Servant (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules 2011 along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Servants (conduct) Rules, 1987.
The petition requested PHC to direct Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to withdraw recognition of PAS & PMS associations for violating conditions of recognition.
The petitioner arguing to suspend Deputy Commissioner Peshawar and General Secretary Tehsildar Association call for strike till disposal of writ petitions.
