Writ of the law equally and for all

Recently, New York’s attorney general has asked a State judge to convict former President Donald Trump even before the start of a trial, because the accused has committed fraud with the American nation by submitting false statements to bankers and insurers and overstating his net worth by up to $2.23 billion. According to the US AttorneyGeneral, evidence in her civil case showed repeated and persistent fraudulent use by Trump and his family business of false and misleading financial statements from 2011 to 2021. On the other hand a federal judge on Thursday awarded former far-right Proud Boys leader Joseph Beggs 17 years imprisonment and his colleague 15 years punishment, after a jury convicted them of seditious conspiracy for storming the US Capitol in a failed attempt to overturn Donald Trump election defeat.

The domestic politics of the United States had witnessed utmost intolerance and polarization on the hands of far-right politics and violent nationalism during and after the presidency of the former President Donald J Trump. The former President has not only set a new trend in the domestic politics of the United States but he also introduced a purely US centric rigid foreign policy at the global level that equally hurt US allies and also proved to be counterproductive for the United States in the long run. US policy on global Climate Change, US relations with NATO nations, US-China trade war and sabotaging the Iran nuclear deal were only a few of those measures that had put irreversible effects at the global level. Similarly, the popular America First slogan finally ended in the Trump First campaign when a sitting President asked its supporters to disrupt a Congressional session that was being convened to stump his defeat.

Realistically, the world nations had progressed because the law was superior and institutions were strong there and no court ever subjugated before dictators, feudals, and self claimed nation saviors in their nations. Lawmakers never act as rubber stamps for person specific legislation nor do they support extra-constitutional actions to appease their party heads. All are equal before the law and ultimately meet their fate and harvest their deeds whatsoever they did. The Pakistani nation and institutions have a lot to learn from the story of Donald Trump, American politics and events that occur on a daily basis across the globe if they intend to rise in the world. Copycating Africa will lead to military rules, coups and anarchy, while modeling developed countries, supporting democracy and upholding rule of the law can make us a developed and strong nation in the world.
