YDA gives one month to take action against quacks

PESHAWAR: Young Doctors Association has given one month deadline to the government to take action against quacks in the province otherwise they will soon start agitation against quackery.

This was said by Dr. Siraj representative of YDA here at Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday flanked by other civil society members, lawyers and non-government organization.

Dr. Siraj said and condemned the incident happened in Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar some days ago, adding that doctors community always raised voice against the fake doctors but the administration always protect him.

He further said and condemned that the government were supporting the culprits as the inquiry committee and report of the inquiry were made hidden and no action was taken against the culprits.

Dr. Alamgir Yousafzai former president of YDA said that HMC hospital administration not did any cooperation with the inquiry committee and the hospital authorities want to back up the culprits including the ward in- charge.

He further added that fake doctor work in the hospital for more than two years but the hospital administration were silent over this crime and the culprits were playing with the lives of innocent people.

He said that YDA give one month dead line to the government and health department to take quack action against all quackery doctors in hospitals as well across the province otherwise YDA will take agitation against quackery in the province.
