PESHAWAR: Delegations of various Youth organisations visited Headquarters Peshawar Corps on Thursday and interacted with Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Nauman Mahmood. The members of delegations were briefed about prevailing security environment in KP and contributions of security forces in the war against terrorism.
They were also briefed about development projects in erstwhile FATA being undertaken by Pakistan Army for uplift of the area including education institutions, provision of health facilities and communication infrastructure.
During interaction, Lt Gen Nauman Mahmood also talked about targeting of youth through fifth generation/hybrid war in which social media is being used as an effective instrument. Members of the delegations acknowledged achievements and contribution of security forces and expressed their respect and support for security forces in providing them a peaceful environment. They also pledged to do their part in countering negative propaganda against Pak and its security forces.
