PESHAWAR: Amid rout in NA-4 election and downtrodden graph of party in the province, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Youth Wing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial President Mian Rashid Ali has raised eye-brows over the recent decisions of incumbent President PML-N KP and advisor to Prime Minister Amir Muqam and termed the recent decisions as dictatorial.
Addressing a news conference at Peshawar press club on Wednesday, the PML-N youth wing president has asked the central leadership to constitute a committee to objective assessment of the party position in the province right after the nomination of Amir Muqam as incumbent president of PML-N.
“Mian Nawaz Sharif should form a committee composed of senior party leaders to assess the performance of Amir Muqam, causes of defeat in NA-4 by-poll, reshuffles in party positions at district level and the party graph during his tenure as incumbent president PML-N”. He said.
Mian Rashid said that Amir Muqam is an honest and loyal party worker of PML-N; however he is surrounded by some self-motivated and priggish clique who is responsible for substantive decline in party popularity in the province.
Flanked by PML-N youth wing party position holders and party workers from Malakand division, Mardan division, and Peshawar division, Mian Rashid said that PML-N youth wing had a lot of expectations from Amir Muqam that the incumbent president will bring a gust of change in the province while consolidating the party position in the province, party reorganization and restoring the lost trust of the Masses but owing to the dwindling party position in the province and clear defeat in the NA-4 by-election the PML-N youth wing accept Amir Muqam as incumbent president not a full-fledged president of PML-N KP.
Meanwhile, the PML-N youth wing president reposed his full confidence on the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif, Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz Sharif while criticizing the opponent parties for giving extra air to the re-opened corruption cases against Sharif family and demanded that Anti-Nawaz propaganda and character assassination of Sharif family should be immediately stopped.
Referring to the frequent exodus of dour party worker and notables from PML-N, Mian Rashid has urged the prominent provincial PML-N leaders Iqbal Jhagra, Pir Sabir Shah, Mehtab Abbasi to come forward and take the reign of the party so that preparation for the upcoming general election should be started.
