ISLAMABAD: Youtuber Adil Raja has been arrested in London for maligning the institutions of Pakistan, on Wednesday.
The controversial YouTuber was detained by Scotland Yard in Luton.
A case was also registered against Adil Raja in Ramna police station of Islamabad the other day.
Adil Raja is a retired Pakistan Army major, and he on his YouTube channel used to malign the institutions of Pakistan.
Adil Raja was known for running a YouTube channel named ‘Soldier Speaks’ where he would often criticise Pakistan’s Army and agencies.
In May, he had tweeted that his Facebook page and YouTube channel had been suspended. He had accused intelligence agencies and Pakistan Telecom authorities of getting his accounts suspended through ‘loopholes’ such as mass reporting.
