‘Zalanda Charsadda’ campaign inaugurated

CHARSADDA: Deputy Commissioner Muntazir Khan inaugurated the ‘Zalanda Charsadda campaign’ for the beatification of Charsadda district on Thursday. The inauguration ceremony was held in Farooq Azam Chowk. In this campaign the roads and walls of the district will be painted with different colors. DPO Zahoor Afridi, Assistant Commissioners, District Nazim, President of Trade union other social and political workers were also in the ceremony.

On the occasion DC Muntazir Khan said that all roads connecting with Farooq Azam Chowk will be painted with different colors and shared that Nowshehra road will be colored with light green, Peshawar road with blue colors, Tangi road will be decorated yellow and Mardan road will be renovated with white color paint. DC informed that Zalanda Charsadda campaign will be completed in ten days adding that more than Rs 6 million will be spend on the campaign and Tehsil Municipal Administration TMA, C&W and KPHA will provide the fund for the campaign.

The campaign was started with the aim to provide the clean and healthy environment and revive the beauty of the district and also asked the people to assist the administration in this regard, he added.

Moreover, DPO Zahoor Afridi said that police will make sure to the assist the district administration in maintaining the law and order and adding that it is also the responsibility of every individual to play their role in maintaining the beauty of the area. Similarly, provincial government has also released Rs 600 million for the beautification of district which will be used for improving, drainage system, pavement of streets, installation new pipelines of drinking water and other.
