Zardari demands FATA’s immediate access to PHC

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari strongly supported the Fed-erally Administrative Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pukhtunkhawa (KP) and said that the access of Peshawar High Court to the people of FATA must be made possible as soon as possible.

He made these views while chairing party huddle of KP chapter in Peshawar in Zardari House on Saturday.

The meeting has also discussed the KP political situation in details as Zardari was briefed over the lapses in KP government.

Talking on the occasion, former president said that PPP has the principle stand that FATA was the part of KP and it should be merged with KP as soon as possible.

“Government should complete the process of people access to Peshawar High Court without any further delay,” he said.

Zardari has also expressed regret over the killing of four years old Asma in Mardan, who was allegedly raped and killed, and directed local leadership to provide her parents all possible legal and ethical help.

The meeting was also attended by the party women wing head Faryal Talpur, secretary general Farhatullah Babar, Khyber Pukhtunkhawa (KP) president Hamayun Khan and others.
