ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari – after appearing in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for obtaining interim bail in two of the inquiries against him – stated that a protest campaign would be launched “in streets and not in parliament” against the government after Ramazan.
He spoke to the media outside the court, and said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and [the state’s] economy could not function at the same time.
“Either NAB would work in the country or the economy,” he said, adding Bilawal is the son of martyr [Benazir Bhutto] and will walk barefoot on hot embers.
Regarding the tax amnesty scheme, he said that there is no difference between it and the one which was introduced in the past.
