PESHAWAR: Director General (DG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Food Safety and Hallal Authority, Riaz Khan Mehsud here on Monday said the government has adopted zero tolerance against adulteration in milk, other food items and has decided to take strict action against culprits.
Talking to a 20 member’s delegation of All Pakistan Hotels Association here, the DG said it was the responsibility of hotels industry to provide safe and quality food to people besides maintaining excellent hygienic conditions in kitchens.
“The aim of the authority is to provide better and safe food to consumers besides checking its quality on ground,” he said adding that co-operation of hotel’s industries was of immense importance in this regard.
Head of the association, Habibullah Zahid hailed establishment of food authority in KP and assured full support to its management.
