WASHINGTON: More than 100 militants of Shabaab group affiliated with Al-Qaeda terrorist’s organization in a US airstrike conducted in Somalia on Tuesday.
The US Africa Command issued a statement and told that with the coordination of Federal Government of Somalia, the US Forces conducted an airstrike in Somalia
“In coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia, US forces conducted an air strike in Somalia against the terrorist’s camp in which more than 100 militants of Al-Shabaab were killed and dozen others were injured in it.
The US military has speedup the operation against the Al-Shabaab group and other militants groups in the recent months and increased the drone and airstrike against terrorists.
Earlier on November 13, the Pentagon informed media that US forces had killed 40 Shabaab and Islamic State fighters in a series of Somalia strikes over several days.
