11 killed, 28 injured after bus collides with trailer near Khanewal

MULTAN: As many as 11 persons were killed and 28 others injured after a passenger bus faced road accident at M4 motorway near Kanewal due to heavy fog early Thursday morning.

The bus was travelling from Rajanpur to Lahore and it was carrying more than 40 passengers. The passengers collided with the trailer because of low visibility brought on by the fog. After the incident the bus overturns and in a result 11 people were killed and 28 others were injured.

Police and rescue workers shifted the bodies and the injured to Nishtar Hospital Multan.

Heavy fog continues to prevail in Pakpattan, Kabeerwala, Kamalia, Mian Chunnu and surrounding areas, resulting in a drop in visibility.
