KABUL: As many as 135 armed opponents were killed and 94 more wounded in separate operations in various parts of the country, the defense ministry announced on Tuesday. According to a defense ministry press release, the security forces conducted operations in Nangarhar, Parwan, Kunar, Ghazni, Logar, Zabul, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Farah, Faryab, Nimroz and Helmand provinces over the past 24 hours. It added that 135 armed opponents were killed and 94 more injured in the offensives.
The press release said that nine vehicles and motorcycles, a wireless communication set and other war gadgets were seized in the operations.
The Taliban have not said anything in this regard so far. However, they always reject these reports as false.
