’15 Taliban killed’ in failed Logar attack: MoD

LOGAR (TOLO News): The Afghan Ministry of Defense said Friday that at least ’15 Taliban insurgents’ were killed Thursday night in Logar province as the group attacked security forces checkpoints.

According to the MoD, the security forces at the checkpoints in Baraki Barak district pushed back the attack.

During the clash, ‘six other Taliban were wounded’ and also a large amount of their weapons were seized by the security forces, read the MoD statement.

The ministry said that during the clash four army soldiers were killed and five others were wounded.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
