KANDAHAR: Gunmen shot dead two police personnel in Kandahar city on Tuesday. The armed men opened fire on police in Shikarpur Darwaza area in the limits of second security zone of Kandahar, leaving two cops dead, a high-ranking official, who wished not to be named, told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP).
The dead included a national and a border police, he said. Officials have not said anything formally in this regard so far. No one claimed responsibility for the attack till the filling of this report.
