2 die as school van falls into ravine

ABBOTTABAD: At least two students and 2 injured as a van of private school plunged into ravine in town ship area of Abbottabad. As per details, the deceased were identified as Ahmed Umar,20 and Kiran Shazadi,18, who both died on the spot. While driver of the van named as Hamza and a girl student Beenish Umar sustained critical injuries who were admitted in Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad.

Fawad Bukhari, spokesperson of Rescue 1122 Abbottabad told The Frontier Post two students were died on the spot while two others including driver of the van were critically injured. “Rescue 1122 Abbottabad officials and people reached the scene of the accident and started rescue operation. They shifted the bodies and injured to Ayub Teaching hospital Abbottabad”, he told.

In another road accident, a motorcyclist lost his life when an over speeding van No. LOT 8569 of Tarbail Dam hit the motorcycle near Tarbaila dam. The motorcyclist Tanveer Ahmed who was also a employee of Wapda was critically injured and shifted to hospital where he could not survived and lost his life. The van driver after the accident fled away while the police registered a case against him on behalf of the ill-fated motorcyclist’ family.
