PESHAWAR: District administration Peshawar Tuesday arrested 22 persons from different areas of the district for re-erecting encroachments.
The district administration have conducted an anti-encroachment operation in Palosai Chowk, Forest Bazaar and University Road and after arresting of the most of shopkeepers directed them for the removal of their encroachments. However, they ignored the directives and re-erected encroachments.
Taking notice of the matter, district administration took action against them and arrested 22 persons. The arrested persons will be dealt as per law of the province.
In the meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar has directed the officials of the district administration for taking stern action against encroachment mafia and also warned shopkeepers for keeping goods inside their shops. Otherwise, stern action would be taken against them.
