PESHAWAR: Three men were killed and five others injured when clashes erupted between two rivals in a wedding ceremony over old enmity at Amir Paradise wedding hall located in Bilal Town, GT Road on Monday night.
Local police said that the clashes erupted when two rivals who had old enmity opened fire on each other at the wedding ceremony of One Shahzaib. As result of firing a 50-year old Asif died on the spot and seven people received bullet injuries. Police said the injured were identified as Malik Iltaf, Talhah, Zaheer Javed, Lal Muhammad, Muhammad Arsalan, Sher Akbar and Lal Marjan.
Injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where two other injured Lal Muhammad and Muhammad Malik Altaf succumbed to their injuries.
Muhammad Umar, son of late Malik Altaf, filed a report with police against the alleged killers Malik Saleem, Murad Hussain, Hakeen Mushtaq and four unknown men.
Police registered a case and started further investigation. Police said no arrest was made so far.
