23 killed as torrential rains continues to disrupt life in Karachi

KARACHI: As many as 23 persons including seven children and girl died on Thursday as the heavy rain continues in the financial capital of Pakistan, Karachi and  it not only disturbed the flights , also caused flooding in several parts of the city.

Most of the people were died because of electrocution in different areas of the city. Earlier PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi directed the Pakistan Army and other relevant authorities to assist the masses and rescue the people and they were busying in helping the people in these hard times.

Pakistan Meteorologists Department (PMD) said Karachi received up to 130 millimeters (5.11 inches) of rainfall on Thursday and predicted more rain on Friday.
