3-day huddle of some Afghan politicians begins in Vienna

ATLANTA (Pajhwok): Some Afghan politicians and officials of the past regime in Afghanistan have gathered in Vienna, the capital of Austria, for a three-day meeting.
Ali Maisam Nazary, the foreign relation head of the National Resistance Fron (NRF), on his Twitter handle wrote: “This week Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the NRF and his delegation is in Vienna to attend a three-day conference hosted by a private Austrian institute.
The title of the conference is ‘Intra-Afghanistan Conference: Cohesion and coordination for the future of Afghanistan’.”
He added: “This conference is the first platform and opportunity for the opposition to the Taliban to gather and discuss a solution and way for a peaceful and democratic Afghanistan. Political personalities forces from all ethnic groups and across the spectrum have gathered.” “Tomorrow, September 16, a press conference will be held to discuss this conference, and media who are interested in participating may contact us,” wrote Nazari.
The incumbent government in Afghanistan have not reacted to the gathering but in the past, it termed such gatherings a futile exercise and claimed peace had been established in the country and all people lived in peace.
