KABUL (Agencies): Local officials at the Torkham customs department say that they collect 30 million Afghanis daily from the transit taxes.
An official at the Torkham port, Mawlavi Seddiq Khalid said that 800-1300 trucks and containers travel through Torkham daily, which 30 million Afghanis in revenue collected daily, which transfers to the government treasury account after.
According to him, suitable facilities for males and females to spend the night have been provided for the patients traveling to Pakistan, at the Torkham port.
He said that in the last 6 months, 49,800 patients have traveled to Pakistan for treatment, through the port.
