KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Syed Sardar Ali Shah on Tuesday announced to establish 300 model schools in the province.
Talking to journalists, Syed Sardar Ali Shah said that the provincial government was working on children specific school system and asserted that inactive schools would be closed across Sindh.
He said that they were taking action against the employees having fake degrees in according with the law. The minister said that no one described the definition of school in the constitution for last 70 years. He said that they would not let any landlord to convert any public school into Otaq.
Earlier, the Sindh government, on January 30, had handed over 20 USAID funded schools to Education Management Organizations.
The Sindh government and Education Management Organisations (SEMOs) had signed an agreement to operate 20 schools constructed under United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Sindh Basic Education Programme (SBEP).
Under the agreements, Sukkur IBA University would manage nine newly constructed schools and 17 priority schools under district package for Sukkur and Larkana.
