43 Taliban killed in ASF raid in Nangarhar

JALALABAD: The Afghan Special Forces have killed 43 Taliban militants during an operation in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

The informed military sources said Monday that the Afghan Special Forces have killed 43 Taliban militants in Sherzad district.

The sources further added that the Special Forces conducted the raid to disrupt Taliban movements in the district.

The military sources also added that the Special Forces also destroyed a large amount of weapons during the raid.

The 201st Silab Corps had earlier announced that the US forces have also conducted airstrikes in Sherzad district.

According to a statement released by 201st Silab Corps, the airstrikes killed 9 Red Unit fighters of Taliban including two of their commanders.

The statement further added that the US conducted the airstrikes in Sherzad district of Nangarhar.(Khaama Press)
