A British special forces officer has revealed war crimes in Afghanistan

KABUL (Khaama Press): The British newspaper “Sunday Times” reported that a British special forces officer recently alerted the police in the country about war crimes committed by the British SAS special forces in Afghanistan.

According to the recently published report by “Sunday Times,” this British officer has provided evidence of the killing of Afghan civilians by the British air forces.

The source, who provided information to the British police on condition of anonymity, was the operational commander of the British SAS special forces between 200 and 2013.

The report states, “In these cases, there are confessions from serving soldiers, emails to the Prime Minister’s Office warning of the crisis, and daily notes from police inspectors.”

The British special forces in Afghanistan are accused of killing civilians and leaving their bodies with weapons between 2010 and 2013.

Based on this report, the British government has initiated investigations under the title “Independent Research on Afghanistan” to examine these allegations.

On the other hand, investigations by a British legal organization called “Leigh Day” indicate that British special forces (SAS) in Afghanistan between 2010 and 2014 likely killed at least 80 Afghan civilians.

A letter from “Piers Doggart,” a public inquiry lawyer on these killings, seen by The Guardian, indicates that the killings of this number of civilians were carried out with “cold-bloodedness.”
