KABUL: Afghanistan and Iran traded 5.32 million tonnes of non-oil commodities worth $2.48 billion in 11 months till February 19, a news report said on Monday.
In terms of tonnage and value, the commodity exchange growth of 18.64 percent and 8.92 percent growth respectively, compared with last year’s statistics.
The Financial Tribune reported Iran exported 5.30 million tonnes of goods worth $2.46 billion to Afghanistan during the period, indicating an increase of 18.79 percent.
Similarly, Iran imported from Afghanistan 22,673 tonnes of goods worth $18.71 million during the period.
Exports from Afghanistan, seventh biggest export destination for Iran, fell by 7.84 percent. Afghanistan’s exports made up 0.07 percent of Iran’s total imports.
