During the visit, Mawlavi Abdul Kabirm, head of the passport department said the organization is trying to increase the distribution process of passports to Afghans across the country.

Mr. Hanafi added that more than 100,000 passports are issued to Afghans on a monthly basis.

Meanwhile, the passport directorate of the Islamic Emirate stressed that it is putting every possible effort to enhance the distribution of passport to interested Afghan applicants.

Previously, the passport directorate had said that as of now, 8,000-10,000 passports are issued throughout the country, and efforts are underway to increase the numbers.
