Afghanistan’s ICA becomes first Central Asian insurer to win MENAIR award

KABUL (Khaama Press): The Insurance Corporation of Afghanistan, the first private insurance company in the country has become the first Central Asian insurance company to win the MENAIR award.

Michael G. Morgan, the Chief Executive of Insurance Corporation of Afghanistan said “I am delighted and proud of the fact that ICA – Insurance Corporation of Afghanistan is the first and only Central Asian Insurer to be shortlisted for not just one but three awards at the 2019 MENA IR Insurance Awards.”

“This is a major accomplishment and clearly demonstrates that ICA has worked hard to deliver what it promises; to be the best insurer possible and a trusted partner,” he said, adding that “To win the Newcomer award is testimony to the team; their hard work, passion and dedication and an unwavering focus on customer service. I am extremely proud of this milestone and for what it means for insurance in Afghanistan. We’ve now set the bar, so it’s up to us to go higher.”

The annual MENA Insurance Awards recognise and reward those MENA based insurers, reinsurers and brokers that have demonstrated exceptional customer service and innovative product development over the past 12 months.

Insurance Corporation of Afghanistan (ICA) was established in 2007 by Afghan and International businessmen, ICA, the Insurance Corporation of Afghanistan, is the country’s first privately owned, multi-line insurance company and received its full government license in 2008.
