Gang of kidnappers busted in Kabul

KABUL (Khaama Press): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced that a gang of kidnappers has been busted during the operation of the security forces in Kabul.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Interior, the gang which was involved in numerous armed robberies was busted by Kabul Police forces.

The statement further added that the gang had recently abducted a child from Temor Shahi area of Kabul city and were demanding 300,000 U.S. Dollars in exchnge for his release.

The child died due to tortures of the kidnappers on 7th of January, the Ministry of Interior said, adding that the gang was finally busted during an operation which was conducted last night in the vicinity of the 5th police district of Kabul city.

The statement by the Ministry of Interior also added that the members of the gang have confessed to have planned and executed several plans for armed robberies and kidnappings in Kabul city and an investigation is still underway from the detainees.
