Anushka Sharma to produce a web series

Monitoring Desk

MUMBAI: Anushka Sharma has proved her mettle in acting with several stunning performances on the big screen. She also went ahead and launched her own production house Clean Slate Films in collaboration with her brother Karnesh Sharma.

She played the lead in her first production titled NH10 which went on to receive critical acclaim. Post that she went on to produce movies like Pari and Phillauri. And now, it seems like the Sui Dhaaga actress is all set to produce her next venture,  a web series based on journalist-author Tarun Tejpal’s novel ‘The Story of My Assassins’.

The popular novel is a thriller with dark humour and suspense. It gives a glimpse of the extremes of corruption, passion, poverty, wealth and a lot more. Talking about Tejpal, the man was accused of raping one of his colleagues in Goa back in 2013. He was then the editor-in-chief of the investigative magazine ‘Tehelka’. He is out on bail now and but hasn’t got a clean chit yet.

Anushka was last seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in Aanand L Rai’s Zero.
