Deepika Padukone is going all out to prep for her role in Chhapaak

Monitoring Desk

MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone has been holding the top spot in Bollywood for more than a couple of years now. The actress has proved her mettle time and time again by giving some breathtaking performances.

The actress had one release last year, which was Padmaavat. Then she took a long break where she also tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Ranveer Singh. However, now the actress is back to work and has started prepping for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Reporting about the same, a leading daily gave a few details about the prep that the superstar is undergoing currently. The report said, “Deepika first searched websites to learn how the [acid attack] survivors are affected. She is also looking up all available material (photographs/videos) on the internet about Laxmi to thoroughly research her life. In fact, Laxmi herself has been very supportive, even sharing material on her journey that is not available anywhere else or is not yet out in the public domain. Deepika was also provided DVDs and pen drives, containing material of about 10 survivors, by the makers of the project. The actor is making sure that every detail is in place.”

The film also stars Vikrant Massey alongside Deepika. We are super pumped to watch this fresh casting create magic on the big screen.
