Apex court orders to restore Nawaz Sharif’s security

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday ordered to restore the security of the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

While hearing a suo motu case regarding the security protocol of politicians and personnel with no official entitlement. During the hearing Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that they do not want to put anyone’s life in danger and then directed the provinces to come up with security guidelines.

During the last hearing, CJP Nisar had directed police chiefs of all four provinces and Islamabad to take back security from those people who are not entitled to it.

The authority took action on the order and around 13,000 police officials were called back from their respective security duties.

CJP remarked that Nawaz Sharif should get security as a former prime minister and also directed to ascertain whether Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has security escorts.

The hearing was then adjourned for a week.
