Army major martyred during search operation in DI Khan: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor has said that an army major was martyred during a search operation at a terrorist hideout in Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan District on Wednesday.

DG ISPR told this on his twitter account on. Major Ishaq, the 28-year-old was martyred in Dera Ismail Khan while conducting a search operation against the terrorist hideout. Major Ishaq, belonged to Khushab and left behind a widow and an infant.

Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other officials attended the funeral prayer of deceased which was held at Dera Ismail Khan.

Earlier on September 23, Lieutenant Arsalan Alam 22, an officer of Pakistan Army was also martyred during firing by terrorists from across the border in Rajgal area of Khyber Agency, a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
