Assets beyond means case: Court exempts Ishaq Dar from personal appearance

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court of Islamabad exempted Finance Minister Ishaq Dar from personal appearance in assets beyond means reference on Wednesday.

The lawyer for the finance minister contended that Ishaq Dar had gone to the United States to attend a meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“He should be exempted from today’s appearance,” he pleaded.

Surety bonds of Rs1 million had also been deposited on behalf of Ishaq Dar.

The court then adjourned hearing of the reference till November 9, 2022.
