Attempt to smuggle drugs foiled

PESHAWAR: On Saturday, an information was received from Worthy Chief Collector-KP, Mr. Saeed Akram regarding attempt of narcotics smuggling, Collector Customs Appraisement Mr. Amjad-ur-Rahman constituted Special Team under the supervision of Additional Collector Mr. M. Rizwan & headed by Deputy Collector Mr. Huseeb Ahmed Bajwa.

The team, as per instructions and information, intercepted the Empty Import Vehicle (E 3835) and recovered 18 kgs Heroine, 14 kgs Crystal Methamphetamine (Crystal Ice) approx value 66 Millions tactfully concealed in the Cabin of the Vehicle.
Driver of the vehicle has been arrested and criminal proceedings have been initiated. Attempts are underway to trace accomplices involved in this heinous crime. Few photos are appended for ready reference.
